INTRODUCING…

  The Elevate Youth Leaders Program

OUR WORLD NEEDS THE NEXT GENERATION OF ENVIRONMENTAL STEWARDS TO BE READY.

The goal of the EY Youth Leaders Program is to equip and encourage teens to be effective environmental advocates and conservation leaders in their homes and communities.

Highly motivated students are recruited from Elevate Youth programs into a one-year internship program that focuses on practicing leadership—through teaching, service, outdoor adventure, and more—among their peers and within their community.

Participants will be invited to join the EY Youth Council that advises the Board of Directors, focus on a sustainability or conservation project, and explore how they can apply their leadership skills to make a positive impact on the world.

Invitees will have the opportunity to become members of the EY Youth Council, where they will serve as advisors to the Board of Directors. Additionally, they will have the chance to harness and apply their leadership skills effectively through a sustainability or conservation project, ultimately striving to create a meaningful and positive influence on the world.

What we do

Environmental Stewardship and Community Engagement

It takes a village to create sustainable change. The EY Leaders Program seeks to develop the next generation of environmental leaders through learning to work well with others & explore diverse perspectives.

  • Specifically, the program encompasses the following key elements:

    1. Conducting in-depth investigations into environmental issues within our communities.

    2. Assisting youth in crafting action plans for issues they feel passionate about.

    3. Involving other local leaders to create a collaborative approach to problem-solving.

    4. Empowering youth to set SMART goals (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Time-bound) for their projects.

A special thanks to the Jack Murphy Foundation for making this program possible.

The Foundation honors the late Jack Murphy’s legacy by sharing his passion for the outdoors and wilderness education with others. They strive to support young people in gaining an exposure to the outdoors that ignites their passion to pursue their own adventures, and to provide needed resources to those called to a career in the outdoors but require funding to pursue their passion. Elevate Youth is honored and excited to have Jack’s spirit live on through our Youth Leaders.
